Rate Rachael Ray: Rachael Ray Towels

Original at Everything Rachael Ray external link    Wed, Aug 6

By Madeline(everythingrachaelray@gmail.com) The first of Rachael Ray's household products that move outside of the kitchen have hit shelves. Linens 'n Things is currently selling Rachael Ray towels. Well, unless you count her dog food line, Nutrish, but you know what I mean. The prices range from 3.99 to 7.99 and are "bright, bold, and bleach friendly." They feature 100% ringspun combed pima cotton and are made in Pakistan. I think these may be the first products from her home textiles line to make it into stores. I'll keep my eye out for any new additions!   [read the full post]

Rate Rachael Ray: It's a Keeper: Turkey Curry on Flatbread

By Madeline(noreply@blogger.com) I am such a fan of curry that I was pretty sure I couldn't go wrong with Turkey Curry on Flatbread from Every Day with Rachael Ray. I was in no mood to make a complicated recipe (some people think none of her recipes are complicated, but I do!), so I did the "look for a short list of ingredients" recipe selection method. This recipe also had the "only three steps to make it" benefit. 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 1 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon curry powder 1 pound ground turkey 1/2 cup feta or goat cheese, crumbled 1 cup plain whole milk yogurt, preferably Greek Grated peel and juice of 1 lemon 1 large tomato, coarsely chopped 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves, finely chopped Salt and pepper   [read the full post]

By Madeline When she cooks on her daytime talk show or on 30 Minute Meals, Rachael often uses what she calls a Moppine. In my house, it was always a dishtowel, but I'm not Sicilian. They sell them for 9.99 each at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. According to the description, this is a 2-in-1 kitchen item, since it is both an oven mitt and kitchen towel. It has "heat resistant pockets for easy and safe handling of hot items. Simply hang it up to dry after using it on wet items." It's 100% cotton, measures 28" L x 18" W, and is machine washable. Next up, Rachael created the Young Cooks Cutting Sets. These come with tools that will help kids to help you out in the kitchen, with safer knives, a cutting glove, and blade covers.   [read the full post]
